1 What is IP Camera?1
Answer: The IP Camera is a stand alone system connecting directly to an Ethernet or Fast Ethernet network and supported by the wireless transmission based on the IEEE 802.11b/g standard. It is different from the conventional PC Camera; the IP Camera is an all-in-one system with built-in CPU and web-based solutions providing a low cost solution that can transmit high quality video images for monitoring. The IP Camera can be managed remotely, accessed and controlled from any PC / Notebook over the Intranet or Internet via a web browser.
2.IP Address configuration?
Answer: Check whether IP address of the IP Camera server shares the same subnet as your work station: Click My Computer > Control Panel>Network & Dial-up Connections > LAN > Attributes >Internet Protocols (TCP/IP), and check IP Address and Subnet Mask. Make
sure they are in the same subnet when configuring IP Camera IP address manually.
3 what does Automatic Gain Control (AGC) mean?
Answer: This is a feature of many CCTV cameras that helps keep the strength of the output signal constant, even when the light level changes. In other words, it boosts the signal strength at low light levels, and caps it at higher levels
4.what does Alarm Sensor mean?
Answer: Alarm sensor likes Video Motion Detector, detects changes of motion to produce an alarm.
5. How to choose DVR?
Answer:choose a DVR with new digital technology
There are four generations DVR according to the digital video compresion technology.
Fist generation, motion JPEG compresion algorithm, it can transfer clear image but large files impede the transfer speed.
Second generation, MPEG-1 compresion algorithm , video compression processing all completed by the video card which won’t occupy CPU resources so that it has a stability system but the disadvantage is still too large datas can’t transfer speedy.
Third generation, MPEG-4 compression algorithm, advantage for the little datas can transfer rapridly by network and strong stability which is hardware compression, so that integrated powerful functions easily.
Forth generation, H.264 technology, we highly recommend it.
